He is a wonderful little dog, weighs about 12 lbs. He is left alone all day and has no yard to play in. He needs companionship and once introduced to other dogs would do just fine. Not good with any small kids as they like to play and it scares him. He is very smart and know quite a few tricks. He enjoys his baths and likes being on the water, he has boated his whole life. Loves walks anywhere.

|Rescue Me ID: 15-03-22-00217Simon (male)|
Meet Simon a 3 year old and 10 pound Shih-Tzu / Poodle. I do have to admit that my haircut is quite short... when I was rescued from the shelter, my hair was very long and matted. To give me a fresh start they gave me a very short cut, but it will grow back - I promise! I am very sweet and tender, but not very confident and quite shy. I love to sit on laps and snuggle - yes, I am a very typical lap dog! I am working on trusting people and it takes me time to warm up to new things and people. I am looking for a gentle, quiet home and a family that has the patience to work with me. I have not had an easy life. No one knows my history, but I am uneasy with new surroundings and sudden movements and loud noises scare me. I need a family to love me unconditionally. I am like to play with other dogs, and I like cats. I am crate trained and my foster mom is working with me on potty training. Currently home fostered in the Seattle area (Mill Creek APPLICATION must be filled out for all inquires and prior to a meet and greet @6dogrees.com. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check and references required prior to adoption approval. Simon's adoption fee is $575.00 and includes: neuter, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) plus de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. The fee also supports costs for various necessary vet care including special surgeries, quality grain free food, general supplies, grooming, boarding, health certificate and transport cost from California to Seattle. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. All dogs are home fostered in the Seattle area by volunteers. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we 'save it forward' so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. (Less)

Hi! My name is Princess, and I am a six year old female Shih Tzu. I came to Valhalla Canine Rescue from the Olympic Animal Sanctuary in Forks. The folks at Valhalla are pretty sure I had it rough at OAS, and everyone says I deserve to have a great home of my own - could that be with you? I am a great dog - I love going for walks, and love affection. I would do best with someone who is home a lot, so they can spend a lot of time with me. I would probably be happiest being the only pet in the house, but may do well with another small, male dog. If you want to meet me, visit the Valhalla Canine Rescue website at www.valhallarescue.org - once our adoption coordinator receives your application, we will set up an appointment for you to meet the dog of your choice. THANK YOU FOR SAVING THE LIFE OF A RESCUE DOG (Less)

This is for both dogs in the picture. Coffee is the darker colored one, and she is the mother of Loufa, the lighter colored one. Loufa is a little more high strung than her mother, and they have been together since Lou's beginning. They are pretty hyper, but they really need more of a yard that I have for them. I'm not exactly sure about vaccinations, and they do have fairly long hair and fleas that I can't seem to get rid of. Oh, and they aren't leash trained anymore. They are sweet, very loving/cuddly dogs. Great with kids and they LOVE to play. I don't want to get rid of them, but I have no choice.

This adorable boy is the last of his litter. He's now about 4 months old and so very ready for a family of his own. He loves to play with other dogs and currently lives with 5 other dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds. He's also great with cats! And of course, he loves all people, too. The $450 adoption fee includes all 6 first year vaccines, worming series, microchip and neuter surgery. He's still just a tiny guy... weighing only about 6lbs or so... but he's becoming quite leggy... maybe some miniature poodle in the mix? He should be about 14lbs or so when he's full grown. Because of his age and size, he should not be left alone for more than 4hrs at a time and he must have another dog in the home. (Less)

Shih Tzu Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Shih-Tzu is a toy breed similar to the Pekingese. Shih-Tzus are proud little dogs and loaded with personality. Shih-Tzus are gentle and do fine with children who are taught to respect the dogs. Shih-Tzus bark to announce people approaching their homes. Shih-Tzus need early obedience training and may require patience when housebreaking. A Shih-Tzu will do just fine in an apartment if it gets enough exercise.
