Rescue Me ID: 13-11-15-00335Pinky (male)
Pinky is a great companion animal. Sadly, a death in the family brought Pinky to us. We already have dogs and horses. Pinky grew up as a companion animal of a soon to be retired woman with grandchildren. He is great with children and adults. He enjoys being a lap dog and loves human touch. He knows how to use doggie doors, does a few tricks for/with treats and he has lived in a home as small as an apartment and presently lives on a ranch with acreage. He is healthy and current on all vet visits he is a smaller male just under 8lbs.

Rescue Me ID: 13-11-03-00443Bella (female)
Personality: Bella is a happy, friendly girl with a super sweet personality. She is a snuggle bunny, but likes to play too. With the colder weather approaching, Bella will make a great lap dog companion next to a warm fire. She is great with other dogs. We just love her! She is a very well mannered girl that will be happy as long as she is loved and cared for. She would make a really great work companion since she is so well behaved. Appearance & Breed: We believe that Bella is a maltese, shih tzu, caine terrier mix. We are basing this solely on her looks since she is a rescue dog. She is small with a full figure. We are watching her diet. Her hair color is white with a few buff highlights. Bella is about 3 years old. She has a very joyful spirit and she is the best mannered girl. She is a prize! She was a foster's favorite. Past: Bella is a former San Bernardino CA shelter dog. This deadly shelter has a 60% kill rate. Even girls as beautiful as her may not make it out alive. She was rescued by us Little Blessings Pet Rescue. Bella was microchipped and her owner when called, did not come for her. She has no abandonment or abuse issues, so we don't know why her owner didn't show up. The good news is that we stepped in and saved her from this horrid death camp. Health and Safety: Leaving the shelter, she was given vaccines and antibiotics to ensure her health. She spent 2 weeks in CA with our rescue partner in foster care. This is a quarantine practice we do to ensure our dogs are disease free and healthy before making the transport to Seattle. She is polite and well mannered. She will do best with someone who is home during the day, or a family where members come and go. Our Mission: We are a small, passionate 100% volunteer organization that networks, rescues and fosters small dogs. We strive to make a perfect match between dog and new owner. We only ask that our expenses are covered. The funds will be used to save another dog from euthanasia, so the rescue cycle continues forward. By adopting Mo-Mo, you are also helping in the rescuing of another dog! It's a double blessing! Adoption fee $500.00 It includes: *Vaccinations including rabies *Heart worm test (negative) *health certificate showing her good health *Neutering *Quarantine and fostering/boarding *antibiotics *Frontline flea treatment *Grooming, nails *Energy treatments from Reconnective Therapy *Transport to Seattle *Collar and Leash *Food and Instructions for care (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 13-10-21-00001Mo-Mo (male)
** By adopting a rescue dog, you are also supporting the rescue of other at risk dogs. Your good will is being paid forward. Bless you!** The Human Society states that 6 to 8 million cats and dogs enter US shelters each year. 3.5 million make it out alive. Please think about these numbers before buying from a breeder. By adopting a rescue dog you are a part of the solution. Personality: Mo-Mo is a sensitive, sweet boy that is all heart. He is a perfect companion dog. He will bond deeply with his owner and love like no other. If you like kisses and cuddles, Mo is for you. Mo-Mo has a charming way of tilting his head back and forth as you talk to him. He will make you fall madly in love with him! He loves to play and is very good with other dogs. He shows no sign of food aggression nor is he a big barker. He is submissive around other dogs, but likes lots of attention from his humans. Mo is most happy when he is on your lap snuggling. He has a really cute way of wrapping his paws around your arm when you hold him. He is so special that he is going to make someone very happy. At first he acts a bit shy, but he warms up quickly. He likes to go on walks and is good on a leash. He is very smart and receptive and he wants to please. He is crate trained. Appearance & Breed: Mo is about 12 lbs and 1.5 years old. Mo is a Shih Zu mix with a cute underbite. He has a little gremlin face with long batting eye lashes. He has a soft, wavy coat that is cream colored with beautiful touches of apricot and gray. His coat does not shed, so he is less likely to cause allergic reactions. He will require grooming in the future since his coat tangles instead of shedding. Past: Mo was rescued out of a high kill shelter in LA, CA. The San Bernardino Shelter allows 1-3 days for a dog to be adopted before killing them. Mo-Mo was scheduled for euthanasia when we stepped in and saved him. We are so very happy that we did! This little man is an absolute diamond and will truly be a blessing in his new owner's life. He is now in foster care in Seattle where he is blossoming. Health and Safety: Leaving the shelter, he was given vaccines and antibiotics to ensure his health. Mo-Mo spent 2 weeks in CA with our rescue partner in foster care. This is a quarantine practice we do to ensure he is disease free and healthy before making the transport to Seattle. He has been in foster care for three weeks after gaining weight and adjusting, so he is ready for adoption. His progress has been amazing. He is a very happy boy! Needs: Mo-Mo will do best with an owner that is home during the day, or a family where people are home at different times of the day. Otherwise, he will not be happy. He gets along well with other dogs and will do well in a pack. Yet, he is more focused on people. He wants to be the center of attention and will follow you around the house like a little shadow. He will completely capture your heart! He will need someone to reenforce his potty training. You just need to make sure that you let him out frequently and praise him when he does his business. By adopting Mo-Mo you not only get an amazing dog, you are also a part of the solution to save at risk dogs. Adoption fee $500.00 It includes: *Vaccinations including rabies *Heart worm test (negative) *health certificate showing his good health *Neutering *Quarantine and fostering/boarding *antibiotics *Frontline flea treatment *Grooming, nails and anal expression at Great Dog in Seattle *Energy treatments from Reconnective Therapy *Transport to Seattle *Collar and Leash *Food and Instructions for care (Less)

Shih Tzu Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Shih-Tzu is a toy breed similar to the Pekingese. Shih-Tzus are proud little dogs and loaded with personality. Shih-Tzus are gentle and do fine with children who are taught to respect the dogs. Shih-Tzus bark to announce people approaching their homes. Shih-Tzus need early obedience training and may require patience when housebreaking. A Shih-Tzu will do just fine in an apartment if it gets enough exercise.
