Rescue Me ID: 18-03-10-00145'Mia' (female)
Meet Mia! She is a adorable 7 pound fully vaccinated, spayed female- Shih Tzu /Wire hair terrier Chihuaha mix. Mia is too cute for words and a nice balance of calm and sweet yet loves to play. Mia is 18-months old, has a clean bill of health, and very sweet, Mia is playful and loving and a bit timid at first. Once comfortable, she is your best friend. Mia was rescued from a very overcrowded shelter in CA. We do not know her history or background as we rescue 'as is' before their time is up. Mia is very sweet, and has calm energy. She will be a wonderful companion and will steal your heart. Mia's tax deductible adoption fee is $625. Fee includes microchip, 30 days free pet insurance, vaccines, alter, health certificate, rabies, and heartworm tested negative. Mia loves to play with other dogs a home with other dog (s), to frolick and play with would be ideal but not required as long as she can stay socialized with others. Mia is a rough and tumble girl and runs in the yard with her hair blowing in the wind. She is priceless to watch, as she is loving her new life with a full tummy, a warm bed and as much love as she wants. Mia is seeking a home that can continue this level of care and watch her blossom. Mia is a indoor dog, and not to be left outside unattended in a yard or off leash outside of her home. If a home owner a fully fenced yard is required. Mia is being fostered with dogs her size, and would love a home that has a dog that needs a friend, Mia eats a grain-free diet of both wet and dry food to keep her healthy and my coat beautiful. She has a wiry-soft long coat, and mildly sheds. She is pretty much a 'wash and wear' dog - very little grooming is required. Basic obedience training is recommend training classes to establish a bond and master recall. Mia is a rescue dog, and rescue dogs require routine and stability. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, Mia should be pottied every 4 to 5 hours. Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Home check and plan must be carefully thought out and presented at time of interview. Applications accepted online at 6dogrees.com. My adoption fee will go to save other dogs at the high-kill shelters in California and is fully tax deduction (my Rescue, 6dogrees Rescue is a 501c3), and will provide a donation receipt. Mia is fostered North of Seattle, If interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review and get back to you promptly. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval. Adoption fee includes: Alter, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we 'Save it forward'; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-03-09-00470Jazmyn (female)
Jaz is such a sweet, special girl. She was born with enlarged pupils, so her eye sight isn't 100%, but still good. With her sight being impaired, she does have a tendency to get startled easily but doesn't take long to perk back up. She is 11 years old and love to play, go on walks, take naps and cuddle. Jaz and Duke have been together since they were little. It would be preferred to keep them together.

Duke is a sweet boy. He loves to cuddle and hangout. He is very social and enjoys just being a part of the group. He is 10 years old but can play like a puppy and then nap for a while after. He and Jaz have been together since they were little and it would be preferred to keep them together as they are bonded.

Rescue Me ID: 18-02-17-00382Loki (male)
YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!****** Poor Loki - this is one sad tail. His family dropped him off at a extremely high kill shelter at the age of 10 in California. The state he was dropped off in was an absolute mess. Loki's time had run out in the shelter, so with open arms we took him into the rescue to save his life. We got him to our vets, and the litany of medical care this poor guy needed was heartbreaking. He needed his eye removed immediately, he had a raging ear infection, his teeth were an absolute mess( he needed to have10 complex teeth removed), and his remaining good eye needed medication. The poor little man was a smelly matted mess, too, and was given a good bath and grooming. After everything Loki had done medically, and all the care he needed, he is still the sweetest gentleman. He has adjusted well to the removal of his eye. His remaining eye will need continued monitoring and medication to maintain his current vision. While he struggles to track a toy if you toss it, he can certainly find it by its squeaks! Loki lives with other dogs in his foster home, and he will come running if they are squeaking a toy as well! Loki also has an excellent nose to go with his hearing, and will come jaunting to the sound of a treat bag! He loves all things snack as well as soft comfy beds. Did we mention he loves squeaky toys? And snacks? Loki also loves to sleep on or at the feet of his people and he will make an excellent companion to someone who wants a snuggle partner. Loki will need to go to a home where people are present during the day & it would be nice for him to have another dog in the home for companionship. He will also need a home who understands all of our rescues do need work with their potty training. This little guy is neutered, chipped, up to date on all his shots, just had a major dental, heart worm negative & looking for a quiet home who will cherish this little man. Loki has an adoption fee of $450 & this fee does not even cover half of his medical care alone. Like most dogs in our rescue, Loki will need help with potty training. ----------------------------------------------------------- **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. When submitting an application, Please be 100% certain that you are committed to completing the adoption process. This includes having all household members in agreement of the dog adoption and being prepared to complete the adoption once approved. We are committed to placing each dog in the very best home possible. As an all volunteer rescue we spend several hours vetting and approving each applicant and every minute spent working on applicants that are not prepared to complete the adoption takes us away from saving another dogs life. This truly is a life and death matter for these precious souls. Thank you for your understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Adoption Process All of our dogs are in foster homes, so please fill out an application on our website to meet them in person: www.aberdeenstr.com Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a 501(c)3 recognized charity. Our volunteers dedicate all their free hours to finding the best loving home for each of our dogs. (Less)

Shih Tzu Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Shih-Tzu is a toy breed similar to the Pekingese. Shih-Tzus are proud little dogs and loaded with personality. Shih-Tzus are gentle and do fine with children who are taught to respect the dogs. Shih-Tzus bark to announce people approaching their homes. Shih-Tzus need early obedience training and may require patience when housebreaking. A Shih-Tzu will do just fine in an apartment if it gets enough exercise.
