This is little Jimmy, he was going to be EU and I was pulling a Shih tzu from Miami Dade when I had a lady beg me to take Jimmy to since they were going to put him down, they said he was a senior about 12. boy were they wrong he was about 4 when I got him. I spent a whooping $800 to save this dog. So will not even come close to what I owe on my credit cards to save him. It was really hard to pull from Florida. Jimmy possibly was with a senior as he really is not much for being held but loves to be petted, He is selective whom picks him up, he can snap, the older women and man next to me pick him up all the time and he is really great with ... He goes potty and poop outside but I have caught him blessing corners, so not fully potty trained , but they do have bands for male dogs to help with this. This little guy was at a shelter for a long time, I was watching him as he was adopted and returned for escaping, He was going to be on the EU list. I had a friend in Texas go to pull him for me, HE WAS GONE, A college got him and was going to use him for xrays , I could not have that happen to him so contacted friends and they got him back from the college I had to pay full price for him, But he was safe. I do save dogs in need at shelters, when about to be EU. I do not make a dime. I do it for the love of the dogs and help those in such need at shelters. With Time Trixie has become such a lover boy, He will potty outside but seems to want ... (Read More)to go poop on a potty pad in the bathroom. He does not try and escape anymore, he likes it here, So once he gets use to you he will figure out there is no reason to run anymore. I do walk him on a lead, Fenced yard would be great maybe he would poop off of the lead. HE LOVES DOGS. ALL.. AND kids, he likes to bug my older cat but none of the others. Approx DOB: 3/2008, Approx Weight: 13 lbs. $125 adoption fee includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Sheldon was pulled from a local shelter. One of our volunteers saw him when she visited the shelter one day. His eyes were a mess. She feared they would have to be removed. She feared no one would adopt him in time. She asked if Furry Kids could help him. We fell in love with his sweet face, and of course couldn't say no. We had Sheldon evaluated at Eye Care for Animals. We were told that he is blind, but he does not have glaucoma like we had feared he might. So he shouldn't need to have his eyes removed. The eye ... (Read More)specialist told us to start him on Ocuvite eye supplements and to have his eyes checked at least annually. Sheldon is great with other dogs but will stand up for himself if necessary. He does not like cats. Also, we would not recommend a home with children under 8 years old. Sheldon is very sweet and has adjusted well to the loss of his site. Sheldon has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. Shih Tzu Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Shih-Tzu is a toy breed similar to the Pekingese. Shih-Tzus are proud little dogs and loaded with personality. Shih-Tzus are gentle and do fine with children who are taught to respect the dogs. Shih-Tzus bark to announce people approaching their homes. Shih-Tzus need early obedience training and may require patience when housebreaking. A Shih-Tzu will do just fine in an apartment if it gets enough exercise.
