|Rescue Me ID: 16-06-02-00110Marley & Ziggy (male)|
Marley and Ziggy desperately need a place to live out their golden years! They lost the only home they ever knew a few months back and have been in rescue since. Marley is 12 years young and Ziggy is 10. They are both spayed/ neutered and are very healthy. They would make a great companion for a older person or couple. It's not that they don't like kids it's just they need a quiet place to retire. Marley is a couch potato and Ziggy loves to explore and play still but definitely loves his belly rubs. |Rescue Me ID: 16-03-06-00322Baxter (male)|
Baxter. 7 year old male shih tzu mix. 17 lbs. Up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. Working on house training. Adoption fee $150.00 Baxter has had a rough go of it. When we rescued him we discovered that he is heartworm positive. He is only level 1 so at least that is good. He is currently undergoing treatment. He also had an ulcer on his eye that was not healing and had to have his left eye removed. He is finally starting to feel better though and is getting some pep in his step again! If you are looking for a velcro doggie, then Baxter might be the one for you! He will be your shadow and follow you where ever you go! He is pretty low energy and enjoys snuggling up against you. He does great on car rides. He can be a little stubborn and it might be best if he is any only 'furchild.' A home without small children would probably be best also. He rarely barks and is a very quiet boy. He is crate trained. If you are interested in adopting Baxter, he is available now even though he is healing from some medical issues. Waldo's Muttley Crew will continue to pay for his heartworm treatment and during the healing of his eye removal surgery. (Less)

Shih Tzu Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Shih-Tzu is a toy breed similar to the Pekingese. Shih-Tzus are proud little dogs and loaded with personality. Shih-Tzus are gentle and do fine with children who are taught to respect the dogs. Shih-Tzus bark to announce people approaching their homes. Shih-Tzus need early obedience training and may require patience when housebreaking. A Shih-Tzu will do just fine in an apartment if it gets enough exercise.
