    Hello, and thanks for taking an interest in my dog pepper. Pepper is an awesome dog. I always say shes been on this earth before. She so human to me lol. She's very very loving , great lap dog. Good watchdog. Very playful dog great with other dogs and children. Trained to use peepee pads. She can be trained to use the bathroom outdoors only. I've had pepper since she was a 1 years old. Last year i lost pepper in a completely different town that I live in. I never gave up my search for her and 9 months later i was reunited with her. This has been her 3rd day trying. She may still need surgery but she is healing very well. I am currently going through a foreclosure as if things coudnt get worse.     Meet Yogi! He's about 12 lbs and 6 yrs old and is our semi-special needs guy. Yogi has hydrocephalus (fluid in his brain) which our neurologist believes he was most likely born with. The only thing it affects at this time is the vision in his right eye. Yogi is currently in a foster home with other dogs, and would do just fine with cats. We prefer a home without kids for this guy, as they may not understand that Yogi needs 'special' treatment - but we may consider for the right family.     Shih Tzu Dogs can make good pets in Connecticut if they match your IifestyIe. The Shih-Tzu is a toy breed similar to the Pekingese. Shih-Tzus are proud little dogs and loaded with personality. Shih-Tzus are gentle and do fine with children who are taught to respect the dogs. Shih-Tzus bark to announce people approaching their homes. Shih-Tzus need early obedience training and may require patience when housebreaking. A Shih-Tzu will do just fine in an apartment if it gets enough exercise.

    Shih-Tzu means Lion Dog in Mandarin. Shih-Tzus are descended from Lhasa Apsos bred with Pekingese. Paintings of dogs resembling Shih-Tzus exist dating back to the sixteenth century. Shih-Tzus were popular with Chinese royalty. Chinese did not allow Shih-Tzus out of the country until the 1930s.
