Rescue Me ID: 15-03-02-00361Michelle (female)

Shih Tzu Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Health: Vaccinations Current

We have two precious, 10 week, ShihPoo puppies. Both are females. They are 3/4 Poodle and 1/4 ShihTzu. They are very similar little girls and very sweet loving, playful, and laid back personalities. They love to be held. The bad weather has made it difficult to get great photos, but we would be happy to provide video if interested. My mother is fostering them and they are learning to use papers to potty on. These babies will be great with other pets and children who are gentle, as they are only 2-3lbs. Their expected adult weight will be 8-10lbs. They will be non-shedding, but should not be expected to be hypoallergenic for families ... (Read More)with allergies. If interested, please email psiloveyouar@gmail.com (Less)

Animal ID: RDV547PUFF DADDY (male)

Shih Tzu    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Puff Daddy has been with his Northern Foster for a little while now, and was previously with a Southern Foster in Louisiana. Upon his arrival in CT it took him a few weeks to warm up to his northern fosters. He was comfortable observing at first and approaching new situations on his own time. By allowing him to take his time, his northern fosters have created a safe environment where he feels comfortable. Currently, Puff Daddy is very affectionate with his foster mom and dad, and can be picked up by both of them. After his initial arrival he was introduced to each of the foster dog's one at a time and did very well. He does enjoy playing ... (Read More)with other dogs, but sometimes likes to 'fun police' the other dogs by barking at them when they play. This is just part of his personality, and the other dogs are un-phased by this. Due to the weather, he has not been on leash recently, but did well on leash when he was in Louisiana. He has never had an accident in the house and goes outside with the pack. Animal ID: RDV544CHAZ (male)

Shih Tzu Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Update on Chaz -Northern foster: Chaz is full of life and he walked in like he had lived with us forever. He walked in and was ready to welcome the world. Chaz was introduced to each of the foster dog's one at a time. He absolutely loves to run and play in the snow, and has a high energy level. He has no fear and can sometimes come on a little strong, though he means well. A few of the older more dominate dogs in the pack have corrected him. Chaz accepts these corrections. Chaz is now completely housebroken and will go out with the pack or scratch at the door and let you know he needs to relieve himself. Due to the weather he has not been ... (Read More)able to be on leash recently, but has his previous foster said he had done well on leash. He did well in the car on his transport from Louisiana to Connecticut. Shih-Tzus are gentle and do fine with children who are taught to respect the dogs. Shih-Tzus bark to announce people approaching their homes.
